Bassoon Section Coach

Iain Forgey is a freelance bassoonist originally from South Florida that has called San Francisco home for nearly ten years. Mr. Forgey has been an in demand performer, collaborating with various ensembles throughout the Bay Area and beyond. He is extremely grateful to have been able to study with Whitney Crockett, Stephen Paulson, Darrel Hale, and Luciano Magnanini throughout his education and approaches everything related to the bassoon and reeds with curiosity and excited experimentation. When not making reeds Iain can be found brewing his next cup of coffee or exploring new recipes in the kitchen.
