Every fall, YPSO embarks on its Annual Orchestra Retreat in Carmel Valley, one of the many highlights for our students. This weekend getaway offers a unique blend of intense musical focus and outdoor adventure. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, our orchestra members dive into rehearsals and build connections with their peers in an inspiring setting.

The retreat is a chance for students to bond and engage in a variety of activities. In their free time, they enjoy swimming, playing frisbee, climbing trees, and socializing with friends. The serene environment also provides an opportunity for impromptu chamber music sessions, where students explore new pieces and collaborate in small groups.
